The information below will outline the key principles and strategies QLD Touch Football (QTF) will apply to limit the risk of transmission of COIVID-19 in the event environment.

Queensland Touch Football will implement the following key public health principles at the Queensland State Cup.

We require all participants, officials and spectators to follow Queensland Health’s key directives to ensure the event can proceed safely.

  1. If you are unwell DO NOT ATTEND – STAY home and get tested
  2. Check in using the via Qld Check in App each time you enter the event precinct
  3. Wear a mask if directed by Qld Health.              

Participants from impacted areas: as per Qld Government requirements must follow the mask requirements from the impacted area, ie face masks must be worn at all times outside the home unless:

  • alone in your car or with the members of your household
  • eating or drinking
  • alone outdoors or with members of your household
  • it is unsafe
  • participating in strenuous exercise (includes when playing or warming up)

There are some other exceptions to wearing face masks, including for children under 12 and people with particular medical conditions or disabilities, as outlined by Qld GovernmentPlease ensure physical distancing is maintained off the field of play especially for those from an impacted area who are attending the event.

Further measures that are strongly encouraged for all participants, officials and spectators, including:

  • People at the event observe physical distancing to the extent possible
  • Ensure good hand and respiratory hygiene
  • Regular cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces and equipment
  • Please be seated when eating or drinking
  • Individually package food only to be served or purchased from vendors and affiliates
